Having your own style developed and having an opus of the size as Steve McCurry has is remarkable on its own, but being an author of one of the most recognizable photos ever, is something you can only dream of. I believe there is not many people who haven't seen a picture of Afghan refugee girl before.

On 3rd of May I took Eva to opening of Steve McCurry's exhibition at Ljubljana Castle. There is not many times you have a chance to see a photographer of Steve's caliber in person. The exhibition is huge and simply stunning. Seeing photos on a LCD monitor is nothing compared seeing them on fine quality prints. And with photos of the photographer known by his evocative colour photography this just stands out even more.

For all those who have at least a bit of interest in photography I really recommend you to visit an exhibition. And for those who share some more sympathy with moments captured on camera, an exhibition is a necessity! A must if you wish. You can visit it until 17th of June from 9am to 9pm every day. And if you'll tell me when you are going, I might even join you.

Zimska sezona radosti na snegu se za večino navdušencev pospešeno končuje in da Mungoti ne žalujemo sami, v sodelovanju s podmladkom KESA znova organiziramo žur do jutranjih ur, ki se že tradicionalno odvija pri Rdeči Ostrigi. Ker pa slovo od zime še nobeno leto ni minilo brez vsaj krajšega, humorno naravnanega video klipa, smo se Mungači kakšne 3 tedne nazaj odpravili v gozd posnet kader ali dva. Kot teaser prilagam nekaj fotk, gibljiva slika pa sledi zvečer na platnu ob izbrani družbi, pijači in glasbi!

Last Friday I visited Sokolski dom to participate in a photo exhibition called Flower Power by an author Borut Peterlin. He is a proffessional photographer known mainly by his photojournalistic and portrait work. Personaly I really admire him for his creative portraits where there is often a lot of humor and creativity in them.

This exhibition is somehow about portraits as well. Portraits of flower arrangements. You can learn more about his work on his blog, where you can find his explanation how and when he took those Flower Power photos. I also really recommend you to visit the exhibition at Sokolski dom. It will stand until 7th of March and it is a great example of how you always have to look for something more or different no matter what you photograph or do.

Every month poker players take place at Ostriga to discover who has the brain of the Titan. Tense moments, bad beats, excitement, mind games, deceptions, odds, knowledge that often overcomes luck and on and on... There are simply so many things going on in this one of if not the most popular card game in the world. Great opportunity to capture some of those moments in camera. A week or so ago me and my friends organised a photoshoot at MungoPark Cerkno. It is a snow park at Cerkno ski resort that we at the Extreme Sports Club Mungo are responsible for. Unfortunately the weather was not as nice as we could wish for but I still could make some nice shots out of it.

At first I was only cruisin around with the body and a lens attached to it.

And later on, when the sun shining thru the clouds was not so powerful anymore, we packed or flashes out and came out with this.
