Sun rays were beaming into my eyes thru windshield on the way to Darija and Rok and I felt so relaxed. Kind of odd if you consider I was heading to shoot a wedding. When I arrived I saw beautifully arranged backyard with details and candy all over and it all came together. It suddenly struck me that I wasn’t calm for no reason. Bringing a wedding photographer in to a place where everything is so well decorated is like bringing a child to a Disneyland. Seriously.
But when I stepped into a room where Darija was getting ready I could feel something lays on her chest. She was smiling but if you really observed you could tell something worries her. When someone puts so much effort into organising a wedding those feelings are completely normal. We exchanged a few words and I realised it was the weather that bothers her. She just wouldn’t want for rain to ruin everything she worked hard for for months. The weather prediction was not as good as she wished for. But in situations like this you can really tell if guests are there for the bride and groom and if they really have a good time spending a wedding day with their beloved friends. And despite the fact that rain was pouring heavily during both of the ceremonies in Mozirski gaj from which one of them was being held outside the atmosphere was as joyful as it can get.
